SEA Australia (SEA) is a provider of practical beach and surf programs for schools including surf education, surfing, coastal studies, school sport and in-school surf education. All programs include vital rip education.

 

We also operate Kids Academy of Surf programs in school holidays,

Float to Survive introductory courses, surf & ocean swimming courses.

School Surf Education and Surfing Skills

Our school surf education programs deliver the most comprehensive & up to date surf safety knowledge, including vital rip education. Programs combine hands on practical surf instruction on the beach, and in the surf with in school theory options. Programs have been developed in line with the schools syllabus and can also be tailored for school sport.

School Sport

Schools requiring a surf program during school sport periods can take on the surf skills program over a full term, or a selection of days. The program can be tailored to include surfing or the surf survival award.

Holiday programs Kids Academy of Surf

Surf in the school holidays!! A specialised "Kids Academy of Surf" skills program, providing safe surf skills lessons during school holidays. Programs for beginners and experienced - Aged 7 and over. Manly Beach, Sydney. Programs include a 2hr surf skills lesson, 4hr surf skills and snorkelling, and a three day surf program.

Float to Survive

A variation of floatation skills without assistance from floatation devices. Participants need to learn these three basic techniques to best equip them for a potentially life threatening scenario. These drills will also greatly enhance swimming speed.

Private surf lessons

Surfing & surf swimming private lessons at Manly Beach. Snorkelling experience in Cabbage Tree Bay off Manly

School Surf and Snorkel

A unique surfing school and snorkelling experience at Manly Beach, Sydney, for primary & secondary schools.

Tour Group Surfing

Our tour group surfing lessons are a life time experience for travel groups, sporting groups, cultural exchange groups and incentive groups. Programs include surfing lesson, surf lifesaving tours and team building events

School Surf Survival

Surf survival courses are a pre-requisite for school students to participate in school surfing programs for school sport under the supervision of school teachers only.

Our Story

SEA founded the Surf Educate Australia - School Surf Education Programs in 1998 at Manly Beach in Sydney, and it is now the premier provider of Surf Education Programs, Water Safety Programs and Outdoor Activities for Australian Schools. Since 1998 over 500,000 students have attended SEA programs along the East Coast of Australia and received skilled Surfing Instruction, Surf Education, motivation and knowledge in the worlds best classroom.

 

Company Founder - Craig Riddington, himself a former Surfing Ironman Champion and Australian Representative Swimmer - identified an opportunity to provide safe and fun programs for all. Using the knowledge and skills of elite surf athletes as instructors & mentors, the company will play a lead role in drowning reduction and enhancing the lifestyle quality of all Australian's whilst also providing international visitors access to a uniquely Australian culture.

SEA is highly regarded as the premier provider of Surf Education programs along Australia's east coast and works with many council lifeguard services. We also consult to various government and water safety bodies and work closely with other experts within the Water Safety industry to develop programs with the goal to reduce drowning nationally.
